Please build segregated bike lanes, and enforce parking rules consistently in the meantime.

I think a couple weeks of 7-10am bike lane enforcement in Kendall/Eadt Cambridge would do wonders. The morning delivery folks are in a hurry and can't be bothered to care whether they're parking legally.

Heck, even cops on motorcycles would work, like we saw a lot last summer. It's clear we need something to change before yet another cyclist is killed in Cambridge.

We have been actively working with the building owner to solve the problem of trucks stopping in the bike lane on Broadway. They have directed their vendors to use the loading dock or circle to the far side of the building, however we cannot fully control every single delivery. We do continue to direct our enforcement efforts to this location among others throughout the city. We have send this to our parking control officers as well as Cambridge Police Department for traffic enforcement.

Our long term plan for this corridor (see our Bicycle Network Plan on our website) includes separated bike lanes, however that will require a full roadway reconstruction in order to provide separation.
